On-Site PAINT COLOR Consultation​

The perfect paint color can TRANSFORM your space... but colors can be shifty little buggers!  A color that looks great on the chip in the paint store or on your friend's walls can appear completely different in your own home.  Take the guesswork out of choosing paint colors -- schedule a consultation with Design Intervention.  Together, we'll select colors that fit YOUR SPACE perfectly!

Here's what to expect:

  • ​Preliminary Phone Call and Questionnaire -- Through this initial conversation and questionnaire, I will discover important details about your project as well as any preferences, goals, or inspirations that you may have.  This time spent listening and learning is a critical first step to creating spaces that fit YOU just right.  Good design is not "one-size-fits-all".
  • On-Site Consultation (Up to 90 minutes) -- While exploring my collection of individual (large) paint samples, I will guide you through the paint selection process.  Together, we'll define the perfect colors for your space!  An on-site consultation is the IDEAL way to evaluate and choose colors, since immersion in your environment allows us to best understand the key factors that influence paint decisions -- architecture, lighting, finishes, furnishings, etc. 
  • Documentation -- There is no need for you to take notes during our visit!  Upon selecting your paint colors, I will document your choices to facilitate accurate communication between you and your contractor/paint provider.
  • Large Color Samples -- Following our consultation, I will mail large (typically 8x12) sample sheets of the colors we select to your home.  This will allow you to evaluate them further in different light conditions, etc. and give you  confidence in your final color selections!
  • Exclusive Access to Discounts on Paint and Accessories

* For more complex projects that require more than 90 minutes, I offer additional design time at a reduced rate.

Drowning in a sea of material samples for an upcoming renovation and confused about which flooring, counters, shingles, siding, etc. to choose?  Overwhelmed by the endless design decisions in new construction?  I can make sense of the madness and help you confidently determine your final selections!

Here's what to expect:

  • Preliminary Phone Call and Questionnaire -- Similar to my On-Site Paint Color Consultation, this service includes a preliminary phone conversation and questionnaire to discover important details about your project.  Taking the time to understand your unique preferences, goals and inspirations is essential to helping you create spaces you'll LOVE.
  • Gather Some Samples -- Although no two situations are exactly the same... a typical process would involve you doing a bit of legwork to gather a collection of prospective material samples that we can evaluate in your space during our consultation.  From these samples, I will help you to identify the best option(s).  This collaborative, more "hands-on" design process provides access to PROFESSIONAL design feedback at a fraction of the cost of full-scale interior design services.    
  • On-Site Consultation (Up to 90 Minutes) -- Just like paint colors, other interior or exterior finishes behave differently in different environments.  That's why evaluating new materials in YOUR OWN SPACE is ideal.  During your On-Site Consultation, we'll carefully study the different material samples that you've collected to discern which works best in your lighting and next to your other finishes and furnishings. 

* On-Site Material Selection / Design Consultation can be utilized as a stand-alone service or rolled into a broader consultation which includes paint color selection.

* For more complex projects that require more than 90 minutes, I offer additional design time at a reduced rate.
